STRATEGIC PLANNING

CONTINUOUS EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT

We plan to build our campus on three acres of DHHL land, creating a training ground for Native Hawaiians in construction and a hub for building homes on DHHL land. This initiative addresses the need for affordable housing while empowering Native Hawaiians to shape Hawaiʻi’s built environment and revitalize Hawaiian culture.

Strategic Plan for building the hub

PROJECTS AND CONTRACTS

As a construction education program, we prioritize developing our students’ skills through real-world experience. We engage in projects from bids and referrals, selecting those that align with our educational goals and the needs of the community. Additionally, we offer subcontracting opportunities, allowing our students to provide the labor support necessary to complete and excel in these jobs.

PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE

Building on our commitment to empowering Native Hawaiians through construction training and affordable housing initiatives on DHHL land, we also focus on continuously improving and innovating our programs for incarcerated individuals and those in drug rehabilitation. Our evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive programs create a safe environment for healing, learning, and growth. We offer education, job training, life skills, comprehensive treatment, and support services to help individuals reintegrate into society and achieve lasting recovery. By collaborating with stakeholders, we strive to make our programs accessible to those who need them most, contributing to the overall well-being of our communities.
